About us

Through Pastors Cathy and Bruce Richardson, the Lord founded and launched Grace & Truth World Outreach Church (G&T) in the Huntsville, Alabama metro area in September 1997. Grace & Truth started with five people, including the Pastors (two of three Richardson children and one member who moved with them from St. Louis). Grace & Truth World Outreach Church filed Articles of Incorporation on March 8, 2001. G&T is a Non-Profit, 501(c)(3) organization as recognized by the IRS.

Grace & Truth moved into its current physical location in June 2002, after meeting for about five years in various hotels throughout the Huntsville/Madison metropolitan area. Cathy & Bruce Richardson were ordained as ministers/pastors in 1988. Grace & Truth is the second church/ministry that the Lord founded through the Richardsons. Their first church was called True Word Body of Christ Fellowship Church, which was in St. Louis, Missouri. The Richardsons have been working in ministry together since they met and married in 1985. Cathy & Bruce Richardson were made overseers of Grace & Truth by the Holy Spirit and are responsible for feeding the flock of God.

Elders are ordained, ministers are licensed, and deacons/deaconesses are appointed as the Holy Spirit leads and in accordance with the bylaws. G&T is governed by the Holy Spirit, the Word of God, and the five-member Board of Directors.

In July 2007, Grace & Truth joined the Miletus Covenant Connection, a Fellowship of Christian Churches and Ministries across the United States. The Presiding Prelate is Bishop, Dr. Roderick Mitchell. He is also the Pastor and Founder of The New Life Church in Cleveland, Mississippi. In June 2014, Pastor Bruce and Pastor Cathy Richardson graduated from the Exodus School of the Bible, Cleveland Mississippi, with a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies. Grace & Truth served as the satellite campus for the Exodus School of the Bible, Huntsville. There have been two other graduating classes since 2014.

The Church name is based on John 1:17 which states: For the law was given to Moses, but Grace and Truth came by Jesus Christ. Our motto is “A Church on the Go!” Our favorite saying is “It’s Just Jesus!” At Grace & Truth, we give the Lord Jesus Christ all the glory for all that He has done and all that He is doing in and through us.

During the 28 year history of Grace & Truth, the Lord has added many ministries to our Kingdom assignment: Hearts Ablaze Marriage Ministry, Single @ Heart Singles Ministry, Kids for Christ (children 11 and under), Youth With A Vision (children 12 to 19), Voices of Praise, Men of Truth, Women of Grace, Ambassadors for Christ (Evangelism Ministry) and the Contact Visit Program (established during the pandemic to check in and check on members of our congregation (primary) and our community (secondary).

We joyfully serve our community through the following programs/ministries: Through Ambassadors for Christ Evangelism Team, based on 2 Corinthians 5:20, we conduct monthly bible studies at the Harris Home for Children (United Way partner agency, full-time foster home and crisis support for orphans and neglected teens). Our Nursing Home Outreach Ministry (NHOM), based on James 1:27, was paused during the pandemic but the Lord reopened that door. Through Operation Beautiful Feet, based on Romans 10:15, we provide socks and various articles of clothing to local shelters and group homes for orphans and others in need.

Our weekly worship services, intercessory prayer meetings and Bible Studies are open to the public for in person attendance and on Zoom. Thanks to our social media presence developed during the pandemic, we now have members, regular visitors and financial supporters who live in other states (Tennessee, Georgia, Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina and Mississippi). Our God is so awesome! He causes all things to work together for our good and for His glory.

The Lord knows the future that He has planned for Grace & Truth. We are excited about what the Lord has done and is doing on our behalf. Our prayer is that the Lord will continue to build the house and bless us so that we can be a blessing to our congregation and to our community. Whatever we do, we do it all to the glory of God. Our will is to do His will. Our heart’s desire is for souls to be saved and the Saints to be edified.

We are growing in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. While the Lord is building us up spiritually and adding to our congregation, He is also building us up naturally. For the first time in our history, we have been blessed by the Lord to purchase 8.09 acres of land on Wall Triana Highway in Harvest, AL. On this blessed and fruitful land, the Lord is building us a new sanctuary! This is indeed the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes. We cannot thank and praise the Lord enough for His many and manifold blessings unto us. We are a Church on the go! We prayerfully invite you to come go with us and come grow with us.
